Evading traditional dishes and presenting a different proposal to the people of Guimarães was the goal of Sérgio and Pedro, the owners of Résvés. With a concept of sharing, here there are long meals with the certainty that, in the end, everyone will want to come back and recommend to their friends.
Résvés has a modern decoration and the dishes accompany this contemporaneity, not only thanks to the reinvention of known options, but also due to all the novelties that arrive at the table perfectly made. The presentation that demonstrates passion and dedication for what’s created in Résvés is the final touch that enchants anyone.
Located in the historic center of Guimarães, Résvés is undoubtedly a restaurant to meet and explore, again and again.
We tried the scotch egg (with alheira and turnip greens), the pork belly (with teriyaki and jiaozi), the mushrooms (with asparagus, parmesan and egg), truffled potato cream (with egg, asparagus and smoked bacon) and the roast beef Résvés (which includes roast beef tenderloin, onions and cheddar sauce), and, sincerely, we couldn’t elect our favorite. For dessert, we suggest the three options we got to know: marmalade and cheese (which is actually pumpkin marmalade with goat cheese and olive oil and nuts cake), the cheesecake alagado (of red velvet, of course!) and the Mil-Folhas of guava and passion fruit.
The ambient acoustic music is another special detail - is doesn’t mix in conversations, but it can create many, even because in Résvés what matters is feeling good, not noticing the passage of time and living a good moment, with good food and good chats between the lines.
Cool Tip: If you wish, in Résvés you can choose and take home a bottle of wine. For a guaranteed dinner, we suggest that you make a reservation, because it’s not always possible to welcome all those who want to explore the gastronomy presented here.
